I will be recording the session for anyone unable to make the webinar live.
The outline for the session, which will aim to be around one hour plus Q&A time will be:
- discussing main traits/profile of autistic girls and internal presentations of autism
- challenges with diagnosis, how traits get missed or mis-labelled and misdiagnosed
- assessment considerations for girls, what happens if they are masking?
- key strengths as well as challenges for autistic girls
- consider why and how autistic girls might mask/compensate for characteristics
- support tools such as embracing autistic self and energy budgeting
